Medical News Network is reporting that St. Louis-based Lippards Auction will bid on $1,310,000 worth of medical equipment and equipment supplies from the former National Guard barracks in St. Charles.
In January, the former barracks, now part of the Veterans Health Administration, became the home of the St. John’s Hospital for the Deaf and Dumb.
The sale of the property is expected to be completed by July.
St. Louis County is also working on a $1 million auction of the former St. Joseph Medical Center for the Blind.
The property, which is owned by the City of St. Francis, is in the area of a former Army base.
Lippards is currently negotiating with the property owner, St. Mary’s Hospital, to purchase the property and to complete the sale.
This is a developing story.
